Donovan Green, a tight end from Texas A&M, has entered the transfer portal and is exploring opportunities with other programs. He is scheduled to visit LSU on Friday and Saturday.
Green, a redshirt sophomore, had a promising freshman season in 2022, recording 22 receptions for 233 yards and two touchdowns. Unfortunately, he missed the entire 2023 season due to a season-ending ACL injury sustained during fall training camp. In the 2024 season, he appeared in seven games, primarily contributing on special teams without recording any receptions.
His decision to transfer comes amid changes in Texas A&M’s roster, including the departure of quarterback Conner Weigman to Houston, which may have influenced Green’s plans.
Green’s visit to LSU indicates his interest in joining the Tigers for the upcoming season. Given his talent and previous performance, he could be a valuable addition to their offense.
As of now, no official commitment has been made, and Green is expected to consider multiple programs before making his decision.
