Tulsa transfer wide receiver Joseph Williams committed to Utah via the NCAA Transfer Portal on Dec. 18. However, only four days later, Williams has now flipped his commitment to Colorado.
In his debut collegiate season at Tulsa, Williams tallied 30 receptions for 588 yards and eight touchdowns. His impressive performance earned him the title of AAC Freshman of the Year.
Williams delivered his standout performance in Tulsa’s close 38-31 loss to East Carolina, recording five receptions for 158 yards and three touchdowns.
Joseph Williams, a three-star prospect, played high school football at Mansfield Summit (TX). In the 2024 recruiting cycle, he was ranked No. 1,305 overall and No. 51 among wide receivers, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, which combines data from the four major recruiting media outlets.
Williams becomes the ninth player Colorado has acquired through the transfer portal this cycle. According to On3’s 2025 Transfer Portal Player Rankings, he was ranked as the No. 31 wide receiver available.
Colorado averaged 327.2 passing yards per game this season, ranking fourth nationally. With star receiver Travis Hunter heading to the NFL after this season, Williams will be a valuable addition to Colorado’s receiving unit.
