Georgia defensive lineman Jamaal Jarrett is set to enter the transfer portal. After two years with the program in Athens, he played in 16 games, making nine tackles.
The 6-foot-5, 350-pound nose tackle was initially considered a project when he arrived at college. In his first year, he participated in five games, redshirting and playing in the bowl game. Despite limited action, he made an impact, recording at least one tackle in four of those five games.
In his second year, Jarrett assumed a bigger role in Georgia’s rotation, particularly due to injuries affecting the defensive line early in the season. He appeared in 11 of the Bulldogs’ 13 games before the College Football Playoffs, though his performance dropped, registering only three tackles.

Jarrett was ranked as the nation’s No. 183 overall player and No. 21 defensive lineman coming out of Grimsley High School in Greensboro, North Carolina. He was also the No. 6 player in North Carolina for the Class of 2023 and will have three years of eligibility remaining at his next destination.
Jarrett will be the third Georgia player to enter the transfer portal once his name is officially submitted. Cornerback Julian Humphrey and wide receiver Michael Jackson III entered earlier, while wide receiver Nitro Tuggle initially announced his intention to transfer but later decided to stay at Georgia. Additionally, dismissed defensive back David Daniel-Sisavanh has entered the portal to pursue opportunities elsewhere.
