Texas A&M tight end Donovan Green has officially entered the NCAA transfer portal, as confirmed by On3’s Pete Nakos.
Injuries have significantly impacted Donovan Green’s collegiate career, limiting him to just two games over the past two seasons with Texas A&M. He missed the entire 2023 season due to a torn ACL.
In 2022, he caught 22 passes for 233 yards and two touchdowns before the injury bug caught up to him.
Coming out of high school, Green was a highly-touted four-star recruit in the 2022 recruiting class, according to the On3 Industry Rankings, which is a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services. He was the No. 153 overall player in his cycle, as well as the No. 6 overall tight end.
Given his potential when healthy, the 6-foot-4, 265-pound tight end will likely have his choice of suitors to pick from in the portal this cycle.
Texas A&M finished the 2024 season 8-5 overall, which ended with the Aggies falling to USC 35-31 in the SRS Distribution Las Vegas Bowl on Dec. 27. They were ranked as high as No. 14 in the AP Top 25 Poll during the regular season.
