Texas Longhorns fans have reason to celebrate as five-star quarterback commit Dia Bell reaffirms his dedication to the program. Despite receiving offers from prestigious programs such as Florida State, LSU, Ohio State, Alabama, and Georgia, Bell remains steadfast in his commitment to Texas. He stated, “As of right now, I don’t have any plans to visit anyone else besides the University of Texas. The offense and the culture and the people around there—it all fit me, felt like a home away from home.”
Bell, a standout at American Heritage School in Plantation, Florida, committed to Texas on June 17, 2024. His decision was influenced by the strong relationships he built with head coach Steve Sarkisian and quarterbacks coach AJ Milwee. Bell noted, “Coach (Steve Sarkisian) and Coach (AJ) Milwee have had a lot of success offensively and especially with the development of their quarterbacks.”
During his junior season, Bell showcased his exceptional talent by throwing for 2,597 yards and 29 touchdowns, completing 71% of his passes. He also demonstrated versatility with 561 rushing yards and five touchdowns, earning him the Florida Gatorade Player of the Year award.
Bell’s unwavering commitment and impressive skill set position him as a cornerstone for the Longhorns’ future success.
