Georgia EDGE transfer Samuel M’Pemba will remain in the SEC, having committed to Texas A&M, as reported by On3’s Hayes Fawcett.
M’Pemba, a former four-star recruit, was ranked as the No. 44 overall player and the No. 6 EDGE in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Industry Rankings.
M’Pemba played in 10 games as a true freshman at Georgia in 2023, recording six tackles. In 2024, he featured in the first four games of the season. The Bulldogs, currently the No. 2 seed in the College Football Playoff, are set to face Notre Dame in the Sugar Bowl on January 1.
Texas A&M finished the regular season with an 8-4 record and is gearing up to play USC in the Las Vegas Bowl. It marked a strong first year for Mike Elko as the head coach of the Aggies.
Before committing to Georgia, Samuel M’Pemba attended IMG Academy, where he contributed to an 8-1 record in his senior year. He finished the season with 36 tackles, 14 tackles for loss, and 4.5 sacks.
It will be interesting to see what kind of impact he makes with the Texas A&M defense in 2025.
