Liberty Flames standout quarterback Kaidon Salter is scheduled to visit Colorado early next week, according to a report by Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports. Salter declared his intention to enter the transfer portal on December 2.
Salter, with one year of eligibility left, recorded 1,886 passing yards and 15 touchdowns against six interceptions this season. He also added 579 rushing yards and seven touchdowns. Over his four seasons at Liberty, Salter has accumulated 5,887 passing yards, 2,013 rushing yards, and 77 total touchdowns. In 2023, he was named the Conference USA MVP after leading the Flames to the Fiesta Bowl
Salter’s trip to Colorado represents the first visit by a potential transfer portal replacement for Shedeur Sanders. Unlike Sanders, Salter lacks the elite arm talent of Colorado’s current standout quarterback. However, his dual-threat ability as a runner could bring a new dynamic to the Buffaloes’ offense if he joins the team next season.
