Former Texas EDGE defender Justice Finkley is set to transfer to Kansas, according to an announcement from his agency.
Finkley recently completed his third season with the Longhorns but had a limited role during his time in Austin. In the 2024 season, he appeared in six games as Texas advanced to the national semifinals.
Justice Finkley saw significant playing time during his first two years at Texas, appearing in 12 games as a freshman and 14 games as a sophomore. Although he primarily served in a reserve role on defense, he contributed consistently during those seasons.
Over his time at Texas, EDGE defender Justice Finkley recorded 26 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, and one forced fumble.
Before joining Texas, Finkley was a highly regarded recruit, ranked as a four-star prospect and the No. 126 overall player in the 2022 recruiting class. He was also ranked as the No. 14 EDGE defender and the No. 6 overall player in Alabama, coming out of Hewitt-Trussville High School in Trussville, Alabama.
