The 2025 Southeastern Conference (SEC) Women’s Basketball Tournament bracket has been finalized, with the Alabama Crimson Tide securing the No. 5 seed. The tournament is set to take place from March 5 to 9 at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina.
Alabama, with a conference record of 8-4, earned a single bye and will commence their tournament journey in the second round on Thursday, March 6. They are slated to face the winner of the first-round matchup between the No. 12 and No. 13 seeds on Wednesday, March 5.
The tournament’s top seed was determined in an unprecedented manner—a coin flip. Both South Carolina (27-3) and Texas (29-2) concluded regular-season play with identical 15-1 conference records. With standard tiebreakers proving insufficient, the SEC resorted to a coin toss, which South Carolina won, securing the No. 1 seed.
The top four seeds, South Carolina, Texas, LSU, and Kentucky, have received double-byes and will begin their tournament play in the quarterfinals on Friday, March 7. The championship game is scheduled for Sunday, March 9, at 3 p.m. ET, airing on ESPN.
