Former California wide receiver Josiah Martin has committed to the Oklahoma Sooners via the NCAA Transfer Portal. Martin, who played his high school football at John H. Guyer High School in Texas, spent one season at California. During the 2024 campaign, he appeared in seven games, recording 12 receptions for 112 yards and five carries for 44 yards and a touchdown.
With three seasons of eligibility remaining, Martin becomes the fourth wide receiver to join Oklahoma through the transfer portal this offseason. This addition is part of a broader effort by the Sooners to revamp their receiving corps, which includes six new wide receivers acquired through both the transfer portal and the 2025 recruiting class.
Martin’s commitment follows the recent hiring of offensive coordinator Ben Arbuckle from Washington State, signaling Oklahoma’s intent to bolster its offensive capabilities for the upcoming season.
