Texas A&M wide receiver Noah Thomas has entered the NCAA transfer portal, as reported by Pete Nakos of On3.
Thomas spent three seasons with the Aggies but will now seek opportunities elsewhere to continue his career. In the past season, he recorded 39 catches for 574 yards, eight touchdowns, and an average of 14.7 yards per catch.
Thomas played for the Aggies for three seasons but will now explore other opportunities to further his career. Last season, he registered 39 receptions for 574 yards, eight touchdowns, and an average of 14.7 yards per catch.
Thomas, a member of the Class of 2022, was a four-star recruit from League City (Texas) Clear Springs, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, which combines data from all four major recruiting media outlets. He was ranked as the No. 57 overall prospect in Texas, the No. 65 wide receiver in the class, and the No. 379 overall prospect in the nation.
Thomas faced several injuries in 2023, but overcoming them helped him become a stronger player. As a result, he is expected to be a highly sought-after prospect in the transfer portal.
“It was tough but everyone’s a little banged up during the season,” Thomas said back in the summer. “I had a different scenario, but, yeah, it was tough. I got to go through some adversity. One once in a while … It was a little battle that I had to get through, but I’m good now.
“I feel great. I’m back to my speed. I’m back to my strengths. So, I feel better than ever.”
Head coach Mike Elko spoke highly of Thomas in the lead-up to the season, praising his skills and potential.
“Yeah. I think he has tremendous size [and] a very large catch radius. I think he’s gotten healthy; he had some offseason stuff that he was dealing with towards the end of the year last year,” Elko said. “He’s getting healthier. He got healthier as spring went on. I think it’s going to be really important for him to have a really strong summer. If he can develop some strength and get his body where it could possibly be; yeah, I think he has all the makings of being a guy that we can use as a top target.”
