Wilder, ranked as the No. 24 defensive lineman and No. 247 overall prospect in the 2026 class by the On3 Industry Ranking, has been a national target since his recruitment gained momentum earlier this year. His decision comes after a series of official visits, including a highly impactful trip to Ohio State on May 31, which he described as “eye-opening” in an interview with On3. The Buckeyes’ coaching staff, led by defensive line coach Larry Johnson, played a pivotal role in securing Wilder’s commitment, emphasizing his fit within their scheme and the program’s track record of developing NFL-ready defensive linemen.
