Georgia’s 2026 four-star wide receiver commit, Vance Spafford, is attracting renewed interest from prominent programs. The University of Southern California (USC) has recently extended an offer to Spafford, aiming to sway the Mission Viejo High School standout back to the West Coast.
Spafford, who committed to the University of Georgia in November 2024, is ranked as the No. 10 wide receiver in the 2026 class. His decision to join the Bulldogs was influenced by a visit to Athens, where he was impressed by the team’s talent and winning culture.
Despite his commitment, Spafford’s performance continues to draw attention. In the first nine games of the regular season for Mission Viejo, he caught 44 passes for 826 yards and 15 touchdowns.
As the recruiting landscape evolves, it remains to be seen how Spafford will respond to new suitors like USC. For now, he remains a key component of Georgia’s 2026 recruiting class.
