Florida State sophomore forward Taylor Bol Bowen intends to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal after spending two seasons with the Seminoles.
The 6-foot-10, 195-pound forward had an impressive sophomore season, averaging 9 points and 5.6 rebounds per game as a full-time starter. In his freshman year, he appeared in all 31 games, recording averages of 3.1 points and 2.6 rebounds.
This season, he shot over 40 percent from three-point range and recorded seven double-digit scoring performances in the team’s first 20 games.
His decision follows the early February announcement that head coach Leonard Hamilton would step down at the end of the season. Bol Bowen will have two years of eligibility remaining at his next school.
As a recruit, he was among the most sought-after prospects in the Class of 2023. According to the On3 Industry Ranking—which combines evaluations from all four major recruiting media outlets—Bol Bowen ranked No. 69 nationally and No. 11 among power forwards.
Graduating from the renowned Brewster Academy, he committed to the Seminoles over offers from Providence, USC, UConn, and several other high-major programs.
