
Tennessee wide receiver Mike Matthewsintends to enter the NCAA transfer portal, according to On3.
As a freshman in 2024, Matthews contributed to the Vols’ receiver rotation, recording seven catches for 90 yards and two touchdowns over 10 games.
Mike Matthews also contributed on special teams, returning one kickoff for 32 yards.
Before joining Tennessee, Matthews was ranked as a five-star-plus prospect and the No. 26 overall recruit in the 2024 class. He was also rated the No. 6 wide receiver in the class and the No. 4 overall player from Georgia, coming from Lilburn’s Parkview High School.
Given his high-profile status coming out of high school, Mike Matthews is expected to attract considerable interest in the NCAA transfer portal.
