On Tuesday, the SEC revealed its end-of-season awards, with South Carolina women’s basketball earning strong recognition among the honorees.
Sophomore guard MiLaysia Fulwiley has been named the SEC Sixth Woman of the Year. This season, she is averaging 11.9 points, 2.9 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.5 steals, and 0.7 blocks. Known for her disruptive defense, she has emerged as a game-changer on the court. As the Gamecocks aim to defend their national title, her strong performance will be crucial to their success.
Alongside Fulwiley, Joyce Edwards and Te-Hina Paopao also received All-SEC honors.
Edwards, a true freshman, earned a spot on the All-SEC First Team, becoming just the third South Carolina women’s basketball player to achieve this as a freshman, joining Aliyah Boston and A’ja Wilson. The Columbia-area native is averaging 13 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 1.1 steals, and 0.6 blocks per game this season. She also secured a spot on the SEC All-Freshman Team.
Paopao earned a spot on the All-SEC Second Team. Renowned for her sharpshooting, the senior guard has evolved into a more well-rounded player this season. She has improved defensively and become a more consistent scorer inside the arc in her second year at USC. Paopao is averaging 10.2 points, 3.0 assists, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.2 steals per game.
In addition to being named SEC Sixth Woman of the Year, Fulwiley also secured a spot on the All-SEC Second Team. One of the most electrifying players in the country, she has elevated her performance in conference play, scoring in double figures in 13 of 16 games since the start of 2025.
South Carolina senior forward Sania Feagin and redshirt junior guard Raven Johnson were both named to the SEC All-Defensive Team. The duo has excelled on the defensive end, with Johnson standing out as one of the top point-of-attack perimeter defenders in the game. Feagin has also stepped up significantly for the Gamecocks, especially after Ashlyn Watkins suffered an ACL tear in January.
Dawn Staley’s Gamecocks will travel to Greenville at the end of the week for the SEC Tournament. As regular-season co-champions and the winner of the league’s tiebreaking coin flip, South Carolina enters as the No. 1 overall seed.
USC’s first game in the SEC Tournament is set for Friday at noon. They will face either Texas A&M, Tennessee, or Vanderbilt. The game will be broadcast on ESPN and available for streaming on ESPN platforms.
