Congratulations to Coach Vic Schaefer on being named the 2025 Southeastern Conference (SEC) Coach of the Year!
In Texas’ inaugural season in the SEC, Coach Schaefer led the Longhorns to a remarkable 15-1 conference record, securing a share of the regular-season title. This accolade marks his fourth SEC Coach of the Year honor, having previously earned the award in 2015, 2018, and 2019 during his tenure at Mississippi State.
Under Coach Schaefer’s leadership, the Longhorns have demonstrated exceptional performance, positioning themselves as strong contenders for the upcoming SEC Tournament and the NCAA Championship. Notably, sophomore guard Madison Booker was honored as the SEC Player of the Year, reflecting the team’s outstanding talent and dedication.
